Maui, Hawai'i December 2014
An excellent trip from December 2nd through December 13th.

I made a friend on Hamoa Beach.  He sat with me for about an hour.

We stopped to pay our respects and leave a stone on their graves.

She operates the Hana Ranch Gift Shop.  What a sweet lady!

A view of the Kaupo Gap on the East side of Maui.
Notice that the terrain has changed from jungle to semi-arid pastures.

The open vistas on the East side of the Haleakala volcano are amazing.

This lady sold the best handmade popsicles by the side of the highway in Hana.
We had quite a lengthy discussion with this lady about living in Hawai'i.
She relocated here from Venezuela with her husband a few years ago.

Grilled mahi mahi burger and spicy ahi poke on the left.
The poke was burning my mouth, it was extremely spicy...which was great!

Good philosophy while on vacation!

Sunset at the Grand Wailea Hotel.

After dark, the fountains come alive at the Grand Wailea Hotel.
